Valentine’s Day Chocolate Cupcakes

Valentine's Day Chocolate Cupcakes

Ok since the afternoon I made these Valentine’s Day Chocolate Cupcakes with my son…I have been asked for “heart cupcakes” ever since. Big hit in the Valentine’s-Day-Activity department! This is a 2-in-1 activity as making the cupcakes was activity 1 and decorating them was activity 2 (followed by activity 3 of eating said cupcakes). Valentine’s…

Granola Breakfast Muffins

Some days just call for a grab-n-go breakfast. These Granola Breakfast Muffins were super easy to make, jammed packed with healthy goodness, and really quite yummy to eat with one hand. Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe

I love the activity of baking. And my kids have a long tradition of dragging a chair across the floor to the kitchen counter – climbing up -and rolling up their sleeves to bake with me. They don’t even ask now. Drraaaggg and voila I see a chair and little helper magically appear the moment…

Making Packed Lunches

Making Packed Lunches

Sharing ideas about making packed lunches has been a back-to-school theme here on Parent Club. Because as much as packing lunch is a chore – it’s also really important to the health of our kids. It teaches them about eating well as well as fueling their bodies for their busy school days. In making packed…

Some recipes are memorized simply because they are so easy. This is one of them. My easy applesauce muffins are dense, moist, and yes…a bit healthy (wheat bran, ground flax…it is good to make fibre your friend!). Great for a grab n’ go breakfast, mid-day snack with a cup of tea, or after-school treat. You’ll…

Slow Cooker Mac n' Cheese

You read that right. Slow. Cooker. Mac. N. Cheese. And it’s awesome. I invented it last week and it was so well received that I made it again (in the same week – the kids were asking for it!). Crunchy on the top, creamy in the middle, and a great week night meal…I think you…

Instagram post 2196768143521685683_10129937 I'm not a shopper. I'm a list maker. I make of list of everyone I have to shop for...and then do one trip to check off all my shops-fors on my list. Needless to say, I also try to get it done in one place if I can.
.
Does this make me a power shopper? Because go big and get er' done or go home!
.
I kinda love how I can buy for everyone on my list at @walmartcanada. Kids, friends, parents...done. I have a few articles on the Walmart Canada HUB on shopping ideas to make your holiday shopping easier (link above).
.
Do you like holiday shopping or are you like me and just power through it?

Instagram post 2195859955037328258_10129937 My Christmas tree is finally up. My teens asked if we could finally have an "asthetic" to our tree (exact words). Like the blue and silver or gold and burgundy themed trees they see in stores. You see our tree decorations are a mishmash of childhood. Kid-painted ornaments. Gifted decorations sent from family on their travels (Christmas in France, New Zealand, Spain). Little clay pots transformed into bells in kindergarten classrooms. .
I took all the decorations out yesterday and put them up. Maybe next year, I'll give in to the asthetic...but this year I'm holding on to childhood Christmas decorations.

Instagram post 2194682229035130118_10129937 Ok strange picture. But I promised to never out my kids pictures on social media. But I had to share how PROUD I am of my oldest daughter getting her 3rd degree black belt today. 🎉
.
I encourage all my kids to do sports for the physical activity and also the stress relief. But I think there is something special with a girl who gets her black belt. It grows confidence. Strength. Awareness. And I cheer all my kids on for all of her milestones...but this one is very special. This girl is definitely stronger than me in many ways. 💕
Instagram post 2193920523690465665_10129937 Have I shared my next book cover with you yet? THE ADVENTURES OF GRANDMASAUUS will be available Spring 2020. 🎉 I kinda love be the cover myself 💕
Instagram post 2193099516205486506_10129937 Working hard. .
Working towards my goals.
.
Working at getting more business, more knowledge, more skills.
.
I'm inspired by @theggsisters @leissewilcox @momboss.brunch and @shantellebisson in their life and business coaching. .
Work well. Take care of yourself along the way. Be confident. Consistent. Flexible. Creative. And be supportive like a mother. 😉

Instagram post 2192369183482721525_10129937 I know a teen (or 2...well...my 2 teens specially) who would like this t-shirt! Weekend vibes all week long in my house. 🛌

If you are holiday shopping for teens check out my Best Gift Ideas for Teens article at @walmartcanada (link in profile).
