Easy School Lunch List

Tip to make your own Bento Box lunch box

If you have a kid like mine who hates his food touching (also dislikes sandwiches) I have a great tip to separate lunch foods. Get some silicone muffin liners and use them as dividers for the foods. I put the silicone muffin liners inside his square sandwich box to container everything. So one silicone muffin cup has crackers, another has a deli meat, another has veggies. I have circle and rectangle reusable muffin liners so I can mix and match to fit the food and the space. Then I put the square sandwich box inside his lunchbox. It’s colourful and keeps everything in its place.

ACTIVITY IDEA: Make an easy lunch list together

It is a pain to try and guess what your kids want to eat. As an activity, make a lunch list together. Just get a paper and pencil and brainstorm foods they like in each category. This way, you have a sure-fire-go-to school lunch list.

Back to School Lunch Ideas: Let’s talk about Freezer to Lunch Box

The FREEZER TO LUNCH BOX 20 SCHOOL LUNCH IDEAS list has saved my bacon many a Friday. Because usually by Thursday night we are out of fresh lunch foods and the Friday choices are minimal (I grocery shop on Fridays). So having a few freezer school lunches in stock can be a lifesaver. Just thaw Thursday night and Friday school lunch is good to go.

I’ve also found MAKE AND FREEZE SCHOOL LUNCHES to be really helpful (especially for the teens who don’t really want to make school lunch but are usually hungry for lunch once lunch comes around. I bulk make a bunch of freezer-friendly sandwiches (which if you are making one sandwich…it doesn’t take that much more time to make 4 more since the ingredients are out). Then, it’s just grab-n-go school lunch.
