This post on Unusual Hotels To Visit in Canada is inspired by wanting desperately to travel and see something different. But I want a quirky hotel in Canada. An experience hotel. A FUN hotel. Here are my picks for 10 Unusual Hotels To Visit in Canada…
Bucket list for Unusual Hotels To Visit in Canada

It’s a hotel…made out of snow and ice! You can do a day visit (explore and have a drink at the ice bar) or sleep over. They also host events and weddings.
Free Spirit Spheres // Qualicum Beach, BC
It’s a treehouse resort – sphere shaped! These round rooms are suspended in the air giving you a real “I’m sleeping in nature” experience.
Ottawa Jail Hostel // Ottawa, ON
Formerly the Carlteon County Gaol for criminals. The Ottawa Jail Hostel invites you to tour the building, learn about the haunted history…and sleep in one of the orignal jail cells. You can choose from an 8 bed cell, double jail cell, twin jail cell or single jail cell.

Train Station Inn // Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia
Sleep in this train station or a antique boxcar or caboose! Great for train fans.
Convent Inn // Saskatchewan
Yes a real convent and school. Breakfast is served in an old classroom. Enjoy this 1930’s building with all its haunted stories.
Alive Sky Lodge, // Saskatchewan
Sleep in a grain bin in the heart of the Canadian prairies. Apparently turning grain bins into lodges is a thing!

I have seen many a documentary on the Fogo Island Inn. People interested in architecture, photography, and nature will adore staying here for a night.
Air B N B church // Lambton Shores, Ontario
Sleep up to 12 guests with 8 beds in four rooms. This 100 year old church is close to the beach. Swap it out for a cottage vacation.

Love seeing interesting places to stay in Canada – we have been to the Tatamagouche Train Station Inn for dinner before, but would love to check out some of the other spots on your list – the West Point Lighthouse is not too far from us!
