5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge

January 29, 2016 16 Comments

Bookmark these 5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge because they will make your stay a whole lot easier. From tips on booking your GWL visit to dining to secrets about visiting the water park – these 5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge are pretty valuable to families…

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge – Booking

This Great Wolf Lodge booking secret is not to be missed: book through expedia.ca. I didn’t know about this myself until my most recent GWL trip. I simply signed up to be an expedia.ca member (it’s FREE) and searched Niagara Falls hotels – Great Wolf Lodge  and there were GWL rooms and rates at a glance! I really liked how it told me how many rooms were left for room choices on the dates I planned on visiting. Bonus, I earned 1,966 Expedia+ points which I can use towards future travel bookings.

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge – Rooms

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge Rooms

We booked into a Kid’s Cabin room which sleeps up to 6 guests. It was spacious and very comfortable for our family of 5. For smaller families (i.e. family of 4 or 3) consider a family suite – it is the most economical choice.

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge – Dining

Great Wolf Lodge offers a generous meal plan which turns your visit into an all-inclusive resort experience. Dinner at the buffet is vast and varied (example: mussels for grown ups – pizza for kids).

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge Dining

And the cafe has all sorts of treats and temptations for your family getaway (ice cream anyone?!). However, as I mentioned in my post More For Less Tips For Great Wolf Lodge – packing your own breakfast is an easy and economical way to keep costs down.More Fun For Less Tips For Great Wolf Lodge

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge – Activities

Take advantage of the lodge and all the activities included in your stay. You could spend all day at the water park. Take a break in the art room. Listen to story time. Stay up late for a dance party in the great hall. See the character meet n’ greet. Visit the arcade. Do a little bit of bowling. Hang out in the great hall and watch the animated animals.

5 Secrets To Great Wolf Lodge – Water Park

Ok so…for the water park…it opens at 9am so be sure to arrive by 9:30am to claim chairs and a table. After 10am – they are pretty much all taken (and you have no place to use as home base for your towels and shoes). Your GWL wristband is your room key (and adults can have wristbands activated at the front desk so you can “pay” with your band for meals, snacks, even treats in the gift shop). So basically, all you need to bring into the water park is your cover up, shoes, and the towel you get upon entry into the water park.

Though you must check out by 11am – you are welcome to enjoy the water park up until 9pm the evening of your check out. So check out at 9am (leaving one bag packed with your street clothes). Take valuables and extra bags to your vehicle. Take street clothes bag into the water park with you (you can rent a locker by the day). Enjoy the water park that much longer!

Expedia.ca Big World ExplorerExpedia.ca asked me if I was interested in going to Great Wolf Lodge (Niagara). Answer: YES! It was truly a fun family getaway 🙂 Follow my #BigWorldExplorer trip on Instagram.

We’ve gone both summer and winter. In the summer – you can escape the heat (or enjoy the outside pool). And in winter, it’s great to be inside when it’s freezing out.

STOP READING THIS BOOK is a fun picture book where the book challenges the reader to stop reading. Along the way, the reader meets elements of books like hero's, villans and challenges to overcome.

THE ADVENTURES OF GRANDMASAURUS is about a Grandma who magically transforms into different dinosaurs. Lots of dino facts, non-binary characters, and inter-generational endearment.
