October 9, 2020 3 Comments

These Halloween Ideas During Covid will help you mark Halloween in a Covid safe and socially distanced way. From Halloween decorating to Halloween dance parties here are 20 Halloween Ideas During Covid…

We’ve decided to do a candy hunt and movie night chez nous on Halloween. It’s kind of sad that we won’t trick-or-treat but then wildly decorated Halloween houses always scared my kids anyway.

I’m not keen on the high-touch-issue with traditional trick-or-treat. Candy. Handrails. Door bells. It’s too much to sanitize. If you do Halloween “in-house” so-to-speak you have more control over the keeping everything virus-free. Plus, there are some pretty fun (and easy) ideas on this list…

  1. Decorate your house.
  2. Zoom costume party (great family and friends idea!)
  3. Zoom jack-o-lantern decorating contest
  4. Halloween costume bike parade (socially distanced)
  5. Halloween movie marathon
  6. Decorate face masks
  7. Trick or treat driveway
  8. Halloween scavenger hunt
  9. Drive thru haunted house
  10. Drive in (or projector) movie
  11. Go to a pumpkin patch
  12. Halloween BINGO (you could do this via zoom with friends too)
  13. Virtual escape room (great for teens)
  14. Halloween Piñata
  15. Halloween-themed reading hour
  16. Reverse trick-or-treat
  17. Candy hide and seek (I’m totally doing this!)
  18. Tell scary stories
  19. Make spider webs with yarn
  20. Make a Halloween playlist and have a dance party

BONUS HALLOWEEN IDEA

Make some HALLOWEEN SNACK IDEAS. This is a fun way to Halloween up Breakfast, Lunch and/or Dinner. You could make these Halloween snacks into an activity and meal.

Need some good news? People are still kind. Despit Need some good news? People are still kind. Despite the pandemic and lockdowns and frustrations. People are still kind.

My @littlefreelibrary is proof. People drop off their gently used books just to share something to read.

There are kids' books, magazines, non-fiction, novels and even a couple dvds!

People are free to take, disenfect, quarantine, not-return or return-something-else at their own comfort level.

It's the kind of thing that brings us together when we are apart.

Baking hack! Use clothes pins to hold your parchme Baking hack! Use clothes pins to hold your parchment paper down.

Credit for hack: my daughter because when I asked her to come help me by holding the parchment paper she got two clothes pins...pinned the parchment...and then said "it's not that hard Mom" (paraphrasing)

🤦‍♀️

Despite the hit to my fragile ego...the hack worked.
