It occurs to me…whether you are doing in-person school or home schooling…we could all use some easy social distancing recess ideas. Kids need to move right?! I know my kids need to move. And these ideas could be pretty great daily physical activity go-tos for any family.

Circuit training can be a great routine because it gets the kids moving…but in a directed route so you can ensure the kids keep space. Bonus: you don’t really need equipment for these training ideas.

What if you need to do indoor recess at a distance?

Independent reading or a class read-aloud are great ways to do indoor recess. Have kids bring their own books (and keep them in their book bags) or the teacher (or classroom supervisor) can use a class book which only they touch and read aloud to the class.
