A little summer reading recommendation along with a Book Giveaway: Explorer Academy. The Explorer Academy series will appeal to young adult (and advanced middle grade) readers who enjoy adventure, code cracking, and mysteries.

These books are from the National Geographic Kids Books’ fiction imprint, Under the Stars.

In the Explorer Academy series, adventure, danger, and a thrilling global mission await 12-year-old Cruz Coronado as he joins an elite school for explorers. Cruz leaves his tranquil home in Hawaii to join 23 talented kids from around the globe to train at the Explorer Academy with the world’s leading scientists to become the next generation of great explorers.     What interested me most about these series it that you can read the first chapter online to see if it’s something your child would enjoy before you buy.Sure looks like nice books !

    One thing I like about the series are the stories involve children about the same age as the reader would be so they could relate to the stories and characters.

    I like the Explorer Academy books because they seem to have a lot of action which would keep kids interested in continuing to read the whole book.

    I like the characters and how each of them has different characteristics to help the team. For example one of the boys is a tech wizard so his gadgets assist the group.
