Denim on denim. Not only is it timeless…it’s the Canadian tuxedo! And I know he will wear these pieces separately so they have long fashion lives in front of them. Truth be told, I haven’t had much luck with jeans for my son. It’s hard to find something that fits him properly around the waist. However, these 5 pocket jeans have an elasticized belt inside the waist so that I can adjust it to his size (yet, still allowing him to pull on/pull off like sweat pants…because let’s be honest…little boys don’t do well with buttons and snaps all the time).
Picture Day Outfit
Now on to my teen girls. No, not twins. And mentioning that they look alike/are the same size/resemble each other will bring scowls and stink eyes (so let’s not go there). Different ages. Different styles. Different back-to-school fashion needs…
These are the basic outerwear pieces every teen girl needs. And yes, you’ll find them online and in-store of the women’s department of Sears Canada.
A light down jacket to keep them warm as the season’s change yet light enough that they can carry it while they walk a mall. Though colours show character – you can’t go wrong buying them a basic black jacket. This ultra light down jacket comes with a bag – so said teen can pack it in her backpack if she doesn’t want to wear it to class.
A multi-season jacket to keep the wind and rain at bay. Her hair covers the hood (of course it does) but at least I know the hood is there for when it’s pouring and she’s walking home. Now if I only knew she’d put the hood up in the rain. *sigh*

I didn’t think about going to Sears for my kiddos clothes. It looks like they have a lot of great clothes though so I need to check it out again.
When I was this age, Sears didn’t have as many great clothing choices. Now they have so many cute options.
