These 5 Ways to Make Your Skincare Personal is meant to inspire to take care of you. Self care is so needed (especially for busy Moms). And skincare is a very personal topic…your individual needs are important…just like you. Let’s get motivated to take care of the skin you are in…
5 Ways to Make Your Skincare Personal
#1 Me time. So important. So last thing we think of as well. Carving out me time or self-care time is usually the last thing on our list. Groceries. Work. Kids. Sports. Somewhere along the never-ending list of things to do…is taking care of ourselves. So carve me time into your daily routine. If it’s just taking a minute to wash your face before you go to bed. It means you are taking care of your skin. Take a moment to take care of your skin and body…which will translate into a positive body image and confidence.
#2 Make your skincare fit your life. Me? I buy my skincare essentials at the grocery store…because that’s where I shop. It fits my budget and my schedule.
#3 Customize your skin care products for your type of skin. My skin burns so easily, which is why I always use Neutrogena sun block. I like that it’s not oily (hate that oily sunblock feeling). And it’s lightweight. I’m also an Aveeno body wash and Aveeno moisturizer loyalist. Because like my favourite book “The Paper Bag Princess” they are special to me.
#4 Hydrate. Yes, drinking water all day is a big help to your skin care routine! Hydrate from the inside out. Also, moisturize all day! Aveeno nourishing moisturizing skin lotion is formulated with ACTIVE NATURALS® Colloidal Oatmeal to moisturize for 24 hours, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth. I don’t know about you…but I am constantly washing my hands everyday…so I leave a bottle of skin lotion next to every sink so I can moisturize after I pat dry.
#5 Personalize yet try something new. When you have found a skincare line which works for your skin (be it dry, sensitive, oily, or combination) don’t be afraid to try something new within that skin care line. Perhaps try the toner. Or the make-up wipes. A different scent of body wash perhaps. Likely, if the brand works for your skincare then the product line should work for you too.
Disclosure: #ad This post is in partnership with Aveeno. Opinions, as always, are my own.
