I know we often think “we should go out and do something” for Family Day. However, you don’t have to (really). The point of Family day is being together.

I’m at a point in my busy life where my kids’ ages play a big part in what we do/don’t do. They have a 10 year difference so the older kids just don’t want to do little kid stuff as much anymore. Plus, on a holiday like Family day…there is always trouble finding parking, lining up for tickets, inserting yourself into a crowd of people at major city destinations. That just makes me cringe.

I prefer to enjoy my family in my own family way. Together. Without the rigamarole.

And yes, despite our large age difference between kids – my crowd will happily participate in #s 1, 30, 37, and 46 with enthusiasm.
