Easy Brunch Recipes

December 29, 2016 4 Comments

Easy Brunch Recipes are a staple in my house. If I can make-ahead, freeze and make, or put it in the slow cooker…then I add it to my brunch table! There is a little something for everyone in this post. Kid-friendly, nut-free, and easy…

Easy Brunch Recipes

BANANA BREAD RECIPE

I love banana bread…not just for brunch. Coffee dates, breakfast, even school snack. Banana bread just goes with everything doesn’t it?

On the savoury side, you might want to try my slow cooker macaroni and cheese recipe….

Slow Cooker Mac n' Cheese

SLOW COOKER MAC N’ CHEESE

So a tip about my slow cooker mac n’ cheese…cooking time will depend upon the make of your slow cooker. As you’ll read in the comments – some people found the recipe instructions to fit their cooker…while others found the time overcooked the recipe (I blame my old slow cooker – it might not cook as quick as the more modern slow cookers out there). Just know…when your oven is full and there’s no place on your stove top…your slow cooker is a go-to for mac n’ cheese.

Triple Batch Cinnamon Coffee Cake

TRIPLE BATCH CINNAMON COFFEE CAKE

The beauty of my triple batch cinnamon coffee cake is that it makes three cakes. You you can always have one in the freezer ready to thaw for your next brunch.

Or you could totally throw traditional brunch aside and do brunch like the French…with crepes!

You could do savory crepes (ham and shredded Swiss cheese for example…yum!). My family happens to love a sweet crepe party. Set up a make your own crepe bar with melted chocolate, maple syrup, jam, sugar, Nutella, and more. It is delish plus it’s a social activity. Goes great with coffee, tea, and milk too.

I love easy and there are great suggestions here. I love pancakes and mine are made like crepes. I’ve made both savoury and sweet ones. The sweet ones I make either with lemon juice and sugar which is traditional or with maple syrup, both are really yummy. 🙂

I love the idea of making a triple batch coffee cake. And I bet it would be great sliced and made into Frech toast. 🙂
