So whether you need Spring Break Ideas at home or Spring Break Ideas while you travel…this is the remedy to be bored no more…
My Guide to Spring Break Activity Ideas…
Yes – over plan. No – over schedule. Of course this means have an awesome Spring break (enjoy, visit, adventure, get out there, connect) but don’t pencil in back to back to back activities (you’ll exhaust everyone…including yourself!). Moderation to all things right? So do a family field trip (let’s say to the beach if you are on vacation) and then plan for no-plan time afterwards (kids can read a book, watch a movie, hang out). If you are at home, host a play date…and then have down time (same down time activities mentioned above).
Our Spring break? It’ll be here around the home – so we’ll do some play dates, bowling, maybe some swimming. The big kids will certainly want to to go a movie while the little guy will surely want to go to the library to see the Spring break kids’ presentations. We’ll also play the “Find Mommy’s Book” game and try to spot More Boredom Busters on store shelves…
If you are around the house – these 50 Activities to Keep Kids Busy Indoors is sure to please – we will be doing #1, #14, #19 and my son is dying to do #48 and if I give in to it…it’s pure kid pressure
This suncatcher activity is a fun at home activity for young kids (and super inexpensive).
Whether you’re going away or staying at home, I’m sharing sanity-saving tips for March Break over at CityLine.ca (seriously, I categorized the tips into as STAYCATION, VACATION, and WORKING FROM HOME – they will make your Spring break so much easier!).
And let’s face it…anything in an ice cream cone is a good treat…but let’s put a little healthy in Spring break with fruit in ice cream cones (awesome for play dates…just sayin’).
And I have a few Tips For Great Wolf Lodge which could come in handy to make your Great Wolf Lodge experience a little easier.
And if you bake one thing with your kids this Spring break…I highly recommend…my Banana Bread Recipe (because it’s delicious…and it makes two loaves…so you can eat one today and freeze the other for back to school snacks).
