Spring Break Ideas

March 13, 2015

No one wants to hear “I’m bored” this week – so I’ve put together some Spring Break Ideas to bust kid boredom. It’s a mash up of reader favourites, my favourites, and even new Spring Break Ideas. So whether you need Spring Break Ideas at home or Spring Break Ideas while you travel…this is the remedy to be bored no more…Spring Break Activity Ideas

My Guide to Spring Break Activity Ideas…

More Boredom BustersYes – over plan. No – over schedule. Of course this means have an awesome Spring break (enjoy, visit, adventure, get out there, connect) but don’t pencil in back to back to back activities (you’ll exhaust everyone…including yourself!). Moderation to all things right? So do a family field trip (let’s say to the beach if you are on vacation) and then plan for no-plan time afterwards (kids can read a book, watch a movie, hang out). If you are at home, host a play date…and then have down time (same down time activities mentioned above).

Our Spring break? It’ll be here around the home – so we’ll do some play dates, bowling, maybe some swimming. The big kids will certainly want to to go a movie while the little guy will surely want to go to the library to see the Spring break kids’ presentations. We’ll also play the “Find Mommy’s Book” game and try to spot More Boredom Busters on store shelves…

And if you bake one thing with your kids this Spring break…I highly recommend…my Banana Bread Recipe (because it’s delicious…and it makes two loaves…so you can eat one today and freeze the other for back to school snacks).
