I was impressed by the speed and results of the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor. Two large navel oranges pressed in seconds. And no splashing, spurting, or hick-up-ing of the machine at all. I just peeled the fruit, put it in (whole!) into the big mouth and gently pushed on the food pusher to extract the juice. And it seamlessly poured out the juice spout into the juice cup.
And what did I do with those orange peels? I made d.i.y.’d an orange and clove natural air freshner.
I really appreciated the Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor cleaning tip provided in the manual – specifically this tip:
To minimize cleanup, place a plastic grocery bag in pulp container to collect pull. When juicing is completed, simply remove grocery bag containing pulp.
I used a compost bag (because it is always good to be eco-friendly) and clean up was a breeze…
What could you do with a Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Juice Extractor?
Carrot juice, homemade apple juice, freshly pressed orange juice, orchard blends (pears & apples), spinach & carrot juice, smoothies, and more!
I used the freshly pressed orange juice to make Orange Muffins and honestly – best muffins I’ve ever made. And I’m sure the fact that the flavour coming from fresh juice made all the difference.
Imagine starting your kids’ day with fresh juice. Or packing fresh juice in their refillable drink container to enjoy at school lunch (my tip: put the refillable stainless steel drink containers in the freezer while you extract the juice – that way the juice stays cool all day). Or baking – like I did – with freshly extracted juice…I highly recommend!
I have to get one of these!
I as well need to get one of these for my son as he is so fussy with everything BUT this way he will get some different fruit that I feel he needs instead of only 3 fruits
I’ve fancied having a juice extractor for some time, this sounds like a good one, thanks for the review. 🙂
