Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chair

November 15, 2013 11 Comments

Take it from an experienced Mom – the high chair is an important part of childhood.  From meals to snacks to playing – the high chair is prime real estate. Like many, my eating area (also known as our dining room, homework room, art area, and central-hub-of-the-home) is not huge. Which is why I was thrilled to try the new Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chair. Guys, this highchair is half the size and all the function. And it is awesome.

Disclosure: the pictures of this Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chair were taken during my son’s nap…ironic…because this high chair saves space…and nap time saves my sanity 😉

The high chair is not just furniture or kid gear…it’s part of our life. From the 5am bottle (yes, we need to get rid of that) to breakfast to lunch to doing “homework” (i.e. colouring) with his big sisters and then on to dinner…hours upon hours of our lives are spent in and around the high chair.

Oh and the snacks that have been had in that chair…I have more than a few Snack Ideas For Toddlers

What are my must-have high chair features?

I wouldn’t even look at a high chair that didn’t have a recline feature. Sounds snobbish? It’s experience my friends. From the newborn days when we reclined my son (while we ate with the big kids – that was my rule – all family members at the table – if awake – during dinner) to upright seat for baby to booster seat for toddler. Having something which grows with your child is essential!

Easy to clean (obvious must-have feature right?). I have machine washed our Fisher-Price seat pad many times (great results every time). The easy to remove tray is dishwasher safe (though I admit…I still wash it by hand…I always need it before the dish washer gets run).

Quality because with high chairs…it matters. When I go to the drop-in centre – I admit – at snack time I grab the Fisher-Price high chair. I even went so far as to buy a 2nd hand Fisher-Price high chair to keep at Grandma’s house for when we visit. I believe in the quality of these high chairs that much. What it comes down to is that…I trust these high chairs. In them, my son is safe to eat, drink, watch the world, play at the table…enjoy the world around him.

Want to look at the Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chair from my viewpoint?

Take it from experience…Fisher-Price SpaceSaver High Chairs will save your sanity (and perhaps a bit of that prime real estate space in your dining room).

It does look like it would save space and be quite portable. With smaller living arrangements this would be a great fit.

I love the fact it has all the function of a “regular” high chair but only takes up half the space!

from a great firm this will be good quality and really does save a lot of space. The usual high chairs are gigantic, so when a child gets a bit older this is an ideal solution – a tip: place a tea-towel underneath it to protect the chair especial if there’s a padded seat on the chair.

How do you take the seat cushion off? The 5 point harness is attached everywhere…!

You thread the harness back through the holes and then detach the seat cushion by unhooking the elastic at the back.
