Sleek. Stylish. Efficient. Priced right. This HP Slate 7 Tablet Review is not just for techies. It’s for busy families who are looking for a tablet which can help organize, entertain, browse, read, listen, learn, and more on one family-friendly device. Readers meet the HP Slate 7 Tablet…
Let’s begin with price. As of this post date, the Slate 7 tablet is retailing on the HP e-store for $149.99 (after a $30 instant savings). Guys, that is a great price for a tablet! And with the upcoming holidays…if you are looking for that one knock-it-out-of-the-ball-park-gift…this is it.
And the platform? Android (Jelly Bean operating system). Offering speed and stability. You also have access to the Google Play store (which as we all know includes access to top apps, maps, chat, music, movies, books and more.
Forgive the pictures…the screen on the HP Slate 7 was so bright (which is a good thing!) it was tough to get a shot that did it justice. From web sites to apps to e-books – the screen on this tablet made colours pop and was easily read-able.
And the specs: 7 inches diagonal (thus the name – Slate 7), 10.7 mm thin (incredible right?!), 197 mm by 116 mm in size…this tablet is the perfect size to pack in your purse (or briefcase).
It is elegant. The soft touch back panel makes it a comfortable hold.
Think of the uses for this ready-to-go Slate 7: take it to the karate school and write blog posts while you wait for your kids to finish their karate class, take it to a conference and tweet, pin, Facebook and Instagram the special moments, take it to a meeting and type notes (or record them)! From small business use to family life…this tablet is a great tool.
The low-energy, high-performance processor (5 hours video playback life) allows you to check your grocery list on the One Note app, let your little one watch movies while you wait at the doctor’s office or check the news without the battery running low on you.
And bonus points to HP for including a MicroSD card slot (so that you can expand for more capacity and thus convenience!).
The Slate 7 is a perfect whole-family gift. Or gift to a student. Or simply gift-to-yourself! Really…you want this under your tree!
Disclosure: I was provided a Slate 7 from HP for this review. It is sleek and so practical. As always, the opinions on this post are my own.
This sounds perfect for my dad to use. He loves to lay in bed and watch tv, so this would definitely give him something else to do lol
I’d also like to have one or two of these in my home for my grandkids!
Your dad would love the screen size. So would those grandkids! 😉
Oh I will take one of these! I love the price and the size.
Perfect holiday present n’est pas?!
I like the Micro SD Slot and the soft touch back panel and the price like you mentioned is very good, very keen on this thanks for the review
I know – not every tablet has a Micro SD slot – that is certainly something to note!
This sounds great – fabulous specs at a very reasonable cost. For Mommy’s wish list…:).
Maybe Santa is watching you as you type!
I’ve seen this on some wish lists for this Christmas! I can now see why! 😉 I want one too haha
Hopefully you’ll find one wrapped under your tree this year 😉
wow, what a fantastic price, this one is at least affordable :-). A nice big screen too, maybe I should put it on my wish list too.
I love the price and perfectly sized for me !
