- I LOVE the scent of vanilla (it makes me think of baking and family and warmth and comfort). Body mist is something a Mom never buys for herself making it a great treat to gift.
- Not only are scarfs great for fashion – they also keep a neck warm (and mine is always chilly). Plus you can DIY: Transform a Scarf Into A Vest.
- Um…Canadian. Cool. Chic. Michael Bublé is easy listening when you holding a tired toddler.
- Any book is a great gift (reading is a great stress reliever). I especially love Maeve Binchy (I have every one of her books!).
- Pearl earrings is June Cleaver meets Modern Mom. Classic. Classy. You can wear pearls to the park or out on date night.
Some whole-family Activity Ideas for Mother’s Day…
- Make dinner (without Mom – SURPRISE she gets the night off cooking duty!)
- Go on a family field trip together
- Open a massage store on the couch…with a “free shoulder massage coupon” just for Mom
My mother is so difficult to buy for and I have inherited that trait, as our default position is that we don’t need anything. For both of us, activity ideas work best, such as going out to dinner, to a theatre show, or to the spa.
