Here is the Parent Club Family Travel Packing List FREE printable. This checklist will make your family travel plans easier whether you are going by plane, train or even automobile (mini-van in my case).

As a Mom who has travelled to 6 countries with 3 kids, I certainly have some travel experience to share…

Family Travel Tips

  • Always carry your own pain reliever medicine for kids and adults (broken arms and burns happen on vacation – we’ve experienced both)
  • Baby powder for beach sand – towel dry, then sprinkle baby powder and sands falls right off.
  • Pack small-sized ziploc bags for snacks on the go. Pack big ziploc bags to hold your beach stuff (no sand getting in there!).
  • Save money by making t-shirts the souvenirs. Kids want souvenirs – they wear t-shirts. Pack less and buy t-shirts as you travel!

    Ziploc storage bags help me pack my personal care items without fear of leakage. Anyone who has experienced exploding toothpaste knows what I’m talking about, LOL!

    having a check list for each person is real handy, I use ziploc bags for toiletry items and even extra items and medications

    I find the easiest way to pack is to not pack at all. Never traveling allows this method to work 100% of the time. It has yet to fail me!

    I make a list, I cross items off once it’s packed and I can add to it if I forgot something. I also take it with me so I don’t leave anything behind when we come back home.

    I definately need a list and making sure I have time alone with no distractions to get things in order is helpful too, I try not to leave it all to the last minute that way I dont forget things I may need to get

    Having lists is what gets us through it. We recently bought those big ziplock bags and love them for packing!!

    Ziplock bags makes packing so much easier and cleaner. I have had stuff explode in suitcases, but because I’ve put them in ziploc bags, the mess is contained that clothes stayed clean!

    Ziploc bags are wonderful for packing potentially leaky items (shampoo, makeup, etc.)

    I find making lists is the best method. Start with 1 big one & just keep working it down until it is manageble

    the ziploc baggies are great for travel snacks and the containers are perfect for fruit. i also use the baggies for pre-packing all liquids and gels before reaching the airport – saves a lot of time.

    Lists, lists & more lists! I use lists to keep track of everything I need to pack and if it’s not something we use everyday, it’s packed in the suitcase right away. I love using ziploc bags to keep items together especially when packing more than one person’s clothing in a suitcase. DD3 undies & socks in one bag, DD6 undies & sock in another! Makes it so much easier then sorting through a jumbled mess to find the right clothes for the right kid! 🙂

    What makes my packing easier is having a list and checking it twice! Also I do use Ziploc bags to compress the clothes and keep things organised.

    We use a luggage scale to make packing a little easier. And we also bring an empty carry on so that we can fill it with souveniers on the way back.

    I make a list while packing, ensuring I pack it all. I also use ziplock for make-up and in my carry on so that nothing liquid leaks!

    We pack only the essentials, leave all valueables at home and make a checklist to make sure we packed and re-packed everything

    A good packing list for each person that I saved to Word and print for each trip.I put out laundry baskets for everyone and 1 for misc about a week before a trip and start putting a few things from the list in the baskets each day. Then tell kid and hubby to pack their stuff and tick off list as they go.

    What make my family packing easier is labelling everything! Ziploc bags, and a Sharpie marker, so that if the big Ziplocs are full of little things and you’re not sure exactly what’s in there, you can read what’s in there!
