Hamilton Beach Belgian Waffle Baker

April 18, 2012

Hamilton Beach Flip Belgian Waffle Baker with Removable Grids

THE WHAT:  Flip Belgian Waffle Baker with Removable Grids

THE HOW:  Removable, dishwasher safe, non-stick grids.  Drip tray catches excess batter.  Cool touch handle.
THE REVIEW:  New family activity!  The Hamilton Beach Waffle Baker is yummy for the whole family.  It gives a great alternative to boring old toast for breakfast (actually it inspires…make ahead and freeze and you have a go-to snack for school lunch!).
Using the baker is easy – plug and go.  The kids LOVED watching to see when the indicator light went green.  I loved the cool touch handle (’cause I don’t love getting burnt).  Even the kids did a flip or two of the waffles.  Also, LOVED the drip catch tray (clean up was easy breasy).  Oh and the grids are removable and dishwasher safe so change clean up description to easy breasy mom is pleasdy).
My one note – go by the manual directions stating how much batter to put in (1 cup) and how long to allow waffles to bake (7 min) because at first I went by eyeball and green light (which happened to always stay on for some reason).

Not so waffle-icious.  I re-read the manual, measured well and timed by watch.  The later waffles were much more waffle-y.

Makes you crave n’est pas?

The Hamilton Beach Waffle Baker is GREAT.  More than just making breakfast it became an activity to do together (someone mixed, someone poured, someone flipped, someone watched for the light).  It connected us – and how often can you say making brunch connects your family?

Think waffles are just for Sunday mornings?  Think again.  And then stop thinking.  And get one.

Your family will thank you.

A Hamilton Beach Belgian Waffle Baker was supplied for this review. The opinions on this post are my yummy own.

This looks like a fabulous machine. My son loves waffles. I need to get this.
