My crafty kid came up with this idea: “Let’s Make A Valentine Mailbox” (this Activity Mummy in me gushed with pride). We re-purposed a clean container that was flagged for the recycling bin and crafted it into this super easy kid DIY mail box. In under 10 minutes you can make this while you’re prepping dinner.
You will need:
- Clean container (we used a nutella jar because we knew this wasn’t going to school – if you need a nut-free trace option try a jam jar or tissue box)
- Coloured construction paper (we used pink for Valentine’s Day)
- Scissors
- Tape
- Stickers, markers and ribbon to decorate.
Directions:
Wrap construction paper around your container and measure out height and width of where you need to cut to have paper wrap around container.
Fasten the construction paper onto the container using tape.
Decorate the construction paper with words, names, stickers.
Wrap a ribbon around the top of the container (to hide the top) decorating it with a bow.
Done!
Great idea. Sweet for Valentine’s Day!
Aw this is sweet! How are you guys using it?
