Asha and Baz Meet Mary Sherman Morgan is an early reader chapter book series.
Firstly, Asha and Baz have a rocket to launch in their class challenge but have trouble figuring out rocket power. Secondly, using a magic stick they found in the school yard, the kids are transported back in time to meet real life rocket scientist Mary Sherman Morgan. They witness Mary’s contribution to space discovery (she invented a new rocket fuel which boosted the U.S. into the space race). Finally, Asha and Baz return to their own time and use their learning on rocket power to use wind power to fuel their paper rocket.
