First off, I should note Playmobil and dinosaurs are both great for boys and girls! They both encourage creative play, decision making, and screen free entertainment. My 7 year old is dinosaur crazy (not only t-rex…he knows everything you need to know from Quetzalcoatlus to Brachiosaurus. Bravo to Playmobil for creating a product line to tap into the dinosaur craze.

What I like about Playmobil

Kids (with or without the help of a parent or older sibling – depending upon ability) can build the set on their own by following step-by-step instructions. This creates an opportunity for reading (the instructions), hands-on building (STEM learning), and focus.

Then, they get to play with something they built; inspiring pride and confidence.

Further, they control their own play through their creativity. It can be individual play or interactive play with a friend. With their imaginations they create scenarios, conflict, problem solving, rescues, setting, characters, plot. This is a great way to self-entertain! And the play is different every time.

And they are portable so you can pack them up and play with them anywhere you go! I can even imagine just putting the characters in my bag as boredom busters when we go on car rides. Have you ever passed character figures and a dinosaur to a kid in a booster seat?! It is a great way to keep them entertained (and quiet) on long road trips!

    I’d love to gift them all, they’re all so cool! I think my favourite to gift would be the Enemy Airboat with Raptors – I like that it comes with 2 dinosaurs and 2 people, because it’d be a great toy for siblings to play together with.

    Would love to give the Hidden Temple with T-Rexset as a gift, my son recently got the Explorer Vehicle With Stegosaurus set as a gift and this would make the perfect addition to his collection. He is really into Dino’s at the moment and we love the quality of playmobil. I love that they allow children to make up their own story and inspire creativity with play.
