I have scheduled a mix of camp weeks and camp MOM weeks this summer. Meaning: I will definitely be using some/all of the above ideas to keep summer fun chez moi. Though, I know it’s not good to over-schedule kids — I like to have some sort of “plan” (because I thrive on plans to be honest). If we have at least one structured activity a day — even if it’s just going to the park — I feel like I’ve got a handle on Momhood.
And yes, I’m one of the Moms who will be juggling full-time care-giving along with working from home. Not complaining at all – I love working from home and I love being a full time Mom. Which makes having an activity list like this one…all the better!
We love to get out together in the summer months. A good picnic followed by some ice cream is the perfect day for us.
These are all great ideas! I have three kids home all summer long and I try my hardest to fill their day with fun. We love parks, swimming at lakes or pools and going to the library. Those are simple things to do and they love them! Thanks for this list of ideas.
Love your printable! We are a week in and are already looking for new ideas!
This is a great list! I am always looking for fun things to do with the kids in the summer.
There are a lot of free things to do in our city. I try to find something fun we can do at least once a week in the summer. Museum’s are great on really hot days. You have fun and stay cool.
Great printable and pinnable! I like the idea of planning ahead not just for weather but such as planning a trip to the park one day and the next using items found at the park for the found item craft! Great ideas! Thanks so much for the suggestions.
Great ideas! We love going to the movies over summer break, it is so hot in Florida it gives us a break from the outdoor fun in the sun and going early during the week saves us tons of $ on tickets as a family of 5 🙂
These are wonderful ideas! We’ve done a bunch already, like camping, bike rides and eating ice cream. We are heading out on a fun road trip this weekend. You have to make the most of it, most kids only get 12 weeks off and it just flies by!
I love your list! We’ve done most of them already. Can’t wait to adventure more with the family!
We are planning on going to the drive in soon for some summer fun. It is definitely a treat.
We’ve already done about half of your list. Woot. We have to keep them busy during summer.
I am printing this list for the kids. When I hear the words “I am bored” I point to this list!
Love all of these summer activities! My kids signed up for ESS, they keep them busy from morning to 6 PM.
Love the list! Thankfully we have two splash pads by our house so much of the summer will be spent there. Since it is free it will really help our wallets this summer. I love your idea of finding things and making a craft out of the materials. really clever and neat to see what my girls would come up with
