Minimalist Wardrobe – Fashion Basic Ideas’

Business casual give you a lot of wardrobe flexibility these days…but you still need to look put together. The denim jacket is a great mix and match item which can dress down a formal pant or skirt. Also, inspires the Canadian tuxedo (denim on denim).

A basic black blazer is classic and evergreen. Wonder what to wear to the meeting? The black blazer.

A green trench-ish coat and neutral cardigan (oatmeal is a great neutral colour) gives a subtle pop of colour with the functionality of a decent outer layer.

T-shirts, tanks, and long sleeves? Everyone has them. Everyone wears them. So be minimal. Black and white…perfect mix n’ match items. You don’t need 5 of each. Invest in a well-made fitted shirt which will last you throughout the seasons.

Minimalist pants? Yes please!. Two pairs of jeans…one blue and one black. And if one fades…demote it to the weekend wear wardrobe and replace pronto if you wear jeans in the work place. Vegan leather/faux leather leggings and vegan leather/faux leather skirts are super on trend. And why not…they scream rock star style while whisper soccer Mom budget.

My whole wardrobe is built around black. That should make it small but no – I’ve got more pieces than I need! Going to have to pare down….one of these days.

This post totally makes me want to go shopping! this is definitely my style. Exactly what you have shown is what I like to wear as well as the items being black and white. I am all about plain black tees, tanks and pairing it with jeans or faux leather. I actually just got a faux leather skirt I am really excited about pairing with some of my casual items 🙂

I need a little more pieces to add to my wardrobe. A minimalist wardrobe is just my style. I have 2 denim skirts, 2 long dress shirts, and leggings. Pretty basic. I also don’t work out of the home or go out a lot. ^_^
