Easy Home Decorations: Fall Decor Ideas

Fall Leaves. Go for a walk (good family outing) and pick up some fabulous Autumn leaves. Red, Orange, a hint of brown – these are the colours of the season! You are so many home decor options with leaves…table decoration, have the kids glue them to brown construction paper for an art activity, put them on wax paper and make a Fall window sun catcher.

Pumpkins and gourds. Farmer’s markets (and grocery stores) will have pumpkins and gourds for sale. I put a pumpkin for every member of our family on our front steps (in different sizes to represent the big and little people in our family). You can also put a basket of mini pumpkins and gourds on your kitchen table as a seasonal decoration.

Mums. Mums flowers are the epitome of Fall decor. Low maintenance and long lasting (they also make a great hostess gift).

Pine cone wreath. You can make a pine cone wreath with pine cones (find them in a forest), Styrofoam wreath (available at craft stores), and glue (glue gun works best). Great Fall decor and you can use it again and again each Autumn.

Apples. This is edible decor at it’s best. Not only are apples in season…they look great grouped in a bowl or colander on a table.

Candles. Mmms the scents of pumpkin spice or vanilla or apple spice…those are my favourite scents for the season.

I like easy. Thanks for sharing. I think I will have to shop for some “fall” candles. Scent can play a big part in decorating.

This year I just went to the Dollar Tree and picked up some window clings, a Halloween sign and some pumpkins. I can’t afford to really decorate my home right now. Thanks for sharing your tips!

Love pumpkin spice scents! I sometimes put some in water and simmer on the stove to give the house a beautiful fall scent!
