Parent Club Profiles Tracy Moore

September 8, 2016 19 Comments

Name please. Tracy Mooretracy-moore-profile-on-www-parentclub-ca-parent-club

IG: @tracymoorexfredas @thetracymoore
Twitter: @tracycityline
Facebook: Tracy Moore

What’s your specialty? (work-wise – you’re probably pretty special at a lot of things):
I’m a lifestyle television host who specializes in messing up recipes, balancing in heels and having fun and informative conversations with experts who help my viewers get through life’s little challenges more easily.

What is something you want to share with Parent Club?
After an 8 year relationship with Toronto fashion house Freda’s I approached them about stating a clothing line with them. We launched Tracy Moore Designed by Freda’s Sprint collection in April on this year and it was an instant success! I’ll reveal our entire Fall collection on The Shopping Channel on Sept. 10th.

Best thing about your work:
I love being able to interact with a live audience daily. They are so happy to be there that I take on their good energy and it helps fuel my mornings. About #tmxfredas I’d say I’m especially proud of pushing myself out of my comfort zone. The only thing I knew about fashion when I started was how to wear it. Marketing and selling it is a whole other ballgame and I am taking the learning curve in stride.

Parent or not a parent?
Parent of two: Sid, 8 and Eva, 6.

Tracy share a typical Tuesday (really we want to hear how you “do it all”)
Wake up at drink lemon water, put on workout clothes, get in cab and to the gym for my TRX (resistance training) class. Shower and get in the makeup room for hair and makeup by chat on BT about what’s coming up on Cityline.

8:50am chat on BT about what’s coming up on Cityline.

9:15 back in makeup chair for finishing touches. 9:30 back at desk to talk to producers or send an email or two.

10am I’m off to the studio to chat with the audience and get prepared for the days taping.

10:20ish start taping Cityline!

11:45am do a quick live hit with BT Vancouver to promo what’s coming up on Cityline.

12pm (hopefully) back at desk to type up promos for the show. 12:30pm production meeting for the next days show.

1:30pm answer emails or plan future shows with producers. Within this time there is a lot of candy-gobbling and catching up because our team can easily banter for about 12,000 hours. There is never a shortage of topics.

2:30pm jump in a cab to get home, take off makeup, take off tight dress, put on flats and pick my kids up from school.

4pm homework with the kids (this sucks!), then make lunches for the kids and myself, get their clothing and my clothing ready for the next day. Plan my workout for the next day, get all of our shoes ready at the door while Lio makes dinner.

6pm-ish we eat dinner (sometimes with fights, sometimes in harmony), then one of us runs the bath while the other washes dishes. Lio bathes the kids while I engage on social media.

Around 7:30/8pm I read them books and then tuck them in to bed. I’d love to say from

9pm on I hang out and catch up with my husband but I don’t. I’m too damn tired and the cycle will repeat itself tomorrow.

Do you tweet?

Yes but not as much as I used to. IG has taken over my life. More room to ruminate and lots of pretty pictures (I know I sound 5 but it’s true. Tracy like pretty pictures).

Ha, ha, ha… I love how you said messing up recipes, instead of making recipes. LOL. You sound so down-to-earth! It is awesome to hear how YOU do it all, too 🙂
