I created this No Sew DIY T-Shirt Infinity Scarf in 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES! This is a great way to upcycle something from your own closet. It’s also a great boredom buster/craft activity for tween and teen girls. Honest-to-blog…I am wearing my No Sew DIY T-shirt Infinity Scarf right now as I’m typing this…
No Sew DIY T-Shirt Infinity Scarf
You will need:
- Clean, gently used t-shirt
- Scissors
You know those t-shirts which shrink in the wash? Or the one’s with the sweat stains just under the armpits? Or the branded one’s you get at a conference which you’ll just never wear? Those are the t-shirts wanting you to transform them into infinity scarves.
Take the black one I received year’s ago from a blogging conference – LOVE the fabric – don’t love the branding (which is why I’ve blocked off the branding in the images below). This fabric was too good not to use (it’s like a hug only in cloth form).
- Lay your t-shirt out on a flat surface (the floor works great)
- Using sharp scissors cut a straight line under the branding.
- Stretch your circle of fabric (this will make it longer so you can double wrap).
- Done!
Seriously easy n’est pas?! The beauty of t-shirt fabric is that it rolls up on itself so you don’t have to worry about fraying or sewing an edge. And it’s super machine washable!
You could use this No Sew DIY T-Shirt Infinity Scarf idea to give new life to your kids outgrown t-shirts. You know how they always lose their scarves at school?…make a bunch of t-shirt infinity scarves from their too-small-t’s and voila!…you create a piece of clothing which is practical (yet easily replaceable if they do misplace it at school!).
And on the subject of DIYs…I recommend DIY Lipgloss only 2 ingredients…
Pair the DIY t-shirt infinity scarf with the DIY lipgloss and you have awesome birthday party activity ideas for girls.

That is sooo cool!!!! My daughter is 6 turning 7 this April. She loves crafts. I know she would love to try this especially with friends. What a great birthday party idea!! We always host birthday parties at home vs. party package parties so we tend to struggle with ideas to make each party unique and fun. I think this would hit a home run for my daughter and her friends. Thanks for the great idea. I am definitely going to try this.

What a great idea. I have sewn infinity scarves. I am off to check for a t-shirt I could do this with.

Wow! I think maybe I could even do that! It would be great for those “golden boy” t-shirts that just aren’t wear-able anymore that you still love so much! Thank you for the tutorial!
