31 Easy Elf On The Shelf Ideas

November 26, 2015 13 Comments

Ready to get your elf on?! These 31 Easy Elf On The Shelf Ideas are fun-for-the-whole-family! I’ve often heard that the Elf On The Shelf concept can be frustrating (because you just set the bar too high too soon). Keep it simple. I’m sharing 31 Elf On The Shelf ideas here so that you can just go down the list to easily elf-out this December…elf on the shelf via www.parentclub.ca elf ideas

31 Easy Elf On The Shelf Ideas

I think one of the best Elf on the Shelf tips is to keep it G rated (what might make your wife laugh might not necessarily be the story you want shared at kindergarten show-n-tell).

Unrelated but totally awesome: Easy Stocking Stuffer Ideas

Remember Elf background (from the North Pole, loves sweets, kid stuff, curious about the new things he finds in your house) and keep his actions true to character. Snowball marshmallow fight, writing messages in cereal, bundling up in washclothes, peak in a toy box…all these actions would make sense to a child.

It’s also kind of fun to have the Elf interact with the other toys in the house. Like a family portrait with stuffed animals, or Barbie dance party. Have him play cards with other toys, do a race, fix a toy, scribble in a colouring book.

Then, use what you have around…the Elf can build with Lego, put out ingredients to make cookies (because Elves love cookies!), put him in the time out corner (if he’s been naughty). Have him hang off a candy cane. Get stuck inside a plastic glass.

And be sure to have him “visit” many different rooms in your house. Fish for goldfish crackers in the bathroom sink. Make snow angels in the kitchen. Shoe train in the hallway. Sit in front of the TV in the living room.

Hey! My name is Shemar Hakeem Russell and I am trying to find a loving family to take me in in time for Christmas. I’m “too old” to go through the service so this is why I am posting this. Help me complete my journey!
