September 2, 2015

I think to achieve great things one needs determination, will, and effort. Living with an illness doesn’t make great things any less achievable. In the face of illness, some people have done extraordinary things. Living With Diabetes – Powered By Accuracy. Living With Diabetes

The next time you think: I have diabetes…so I can’t do that...

Think of these actors*: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Nick Jonas

Living with Diabetes is do-able. You can even achieve the extraordinary. It takes learning about the disease, your health, and how to accurately measure and maintain your blood levels.

Living With Diabetes – Powered By Accuracy

Bayer Diabetes Care Canada’s Powered by Accuracy campaign showcases the extraordinary achievements of Canadians with diabetes, and how accuracy and determination enabled them to achieve great things.

  • The Powered by Accuracy campaign features three videos of high-profile Canadians with diabetes. For every video share, Bayer Diabetes Care Canada will donate $1 to diabetes research and advocacy with a fundraising goal of $30,000.
  • The funds raised will be distributed among three leading organizations – Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF), Connected in Motion and Diabetes Hope Foundation.
  • Visit www.poweredbyaccuracy.ca to learn more about the campaign and to enter the Powered by Accuracy contest to win great prizes.

And by the way…there is an awesome Powered By Accuracy Giveaway (click that to enter) going on right now here on Parent Club!Powered By Accuracy Giveaway

Enter for a chance to win this fantastic Powered By Accuracy Giveaway, valued at $150, which includes an official Team Canada hat and puck signed by Max Domi.

I know Diabetes has hit close to home for many (it’s certainly in my family so I am sure to make my doctor aware, on my health visits, that there is a family history).
