UGO Wallet mobile payment app

July 3, 2015 17 Comments

I happen to love loyalty and rewards cards. Yes, I like to earn as I shop (who doesn’t). However, all those cards burden my wallet. UGO Wallet mobile payment app allows users to pay and redeem reward points without having to carry around burdensome plastic cards. And it’s FREE…

ABOUT UGO Wallet mobile payment app

UGO Wallet is a free mobile app that allows you to store credit cards and loyalty cards within your smartphone. Use it on any transaction where you could use a tap and pay credit card – usually within a $100 limit. And no worries, it is as secure as paying with your credit card.

The UGO Wallet experience…

Download UGO Wallet (available for download on Google Play, App Store and BlackBerry App World). This took mere seconds for me to do. Upload loyalty cards and PC Plus points card to the UGO Wallet app. Easy.

Load credit card and set up payment. Ok, I admit. I hit a snag at the upload credit card point. Mobile payment apps are fairly new to me (despite being a digital gal) and thus I had a bit of a learning curve. However, I can report to you that the customer service team at UGO Wallet are helpful and friendly. After some trouble shooting, I was able to upload my credit card.

It took about 10 minutes for UGO Wallet to verify my credit card (which actually I appreciate because safety is important to me). And on the point of safety (I know you are wondering)…the UGO Wallet app is secure and password protected. In seconds, I easily enabled a password on my phone for my UGO account and my individual payment cards.

Soon enough, I was all set to go shopping…with the convenience of having my loyalty and credit cards securely in my phone.

Shopping Cart, groceries, grocery store, shopping

No more scrambling for cards at the cashier (nor did I have to miss out on the opportunity to collect points). UGO Wallet offers users the opportunity to tap, earn reward points, and pay from a smartphone; making life easier.

What’s in my bag? Snacks, paper, pens, band aids, water bottle, lip gloss, smartphone, keys, and a much lighter wallet. By leaving my loyalty cards at home I have de-cluttered my wallet – a very good thing indeed.

I try to steer clear of rewards cards. I don’t like companies using me to gather information.

I have been reading about mobile payment apps, but have not taken them very seriously. This is something I need to look into more seriously.

I’m really intrigued by the idea of a Ugo wallet. I think it would be so much nicer to not be carrying around a wallet crammed with cards.

I pay with a virtual wallet often but I really like that uGO has a rewards program. I’d love to hear a few other reviews from long term users, this seems like something I might really get use out of.

This sounds like a great option and I hope more stores start accepting this kind of payment! I would love to be able to leave my wallet behind!

This is a very neat concept! I have left my wallet behind unintentionally so maybe this is best for me.

What a great app. I am that one who is always fumbling for my credit cards at the cash register, so disorganized!

I am all about downsizing and Ugo looks excellent for doing just that. Those rewards cards can be such a pain!

I love using my rewards cards. It is great to earn points on stuff you need to buy anyway.

Love this option for payment! I heard about this years ago while living in Japan and honestly thought we would be paying with our smart phones sooner than this. I hate plastic and have had my cards de-laminate or stop reading after just a few months. This would be so much easier!
