The more treats shared…the more toys donated.
With chairs pulled up to the table and washed hands all around. We divided up How To Make Rice Krispies into age appropriate jobs. My tween was in charge of jobs at the stove top. My kindergarten kid in charge of pouring and patting. I read out the directions and supervised.
Generally, we do the classic Rice Krispies in a baking dish and then cut into squares. However, this time we went all fancy; shaping and forming the Rice Krispies Treats onto parchment paper on a cookie sheet. It was such a twist on the traditional Rice Krispies Treats routine.
Then, the kids got to decorate the Rice Krispies Treats; highlighting the Robot, Doll, and Race Car toy creations we were making. Aside: decorations do get eaten as they also get put on the creations – simply a fact.
It was a good time with yummy results.
It sure is lots of fun doing these things with the kids. Love the snowboarder.
