Back from vacation and the summer treats keep coming. A brand new toy is just the ticket to beat the Post-Vacation-Blues and inspire a little at home play (so this Mom can catch up on laundry and emails!). Fisher-Price Mike the Knight Glendragon Castle Playset has been completely entertaining to my toddler son…
Fisher-Price Mike The Knight Deets:
- 2 sides
- 3 levels of play
- Over 20 sounds & phrases
- Includes 10 pieces
It always makes my heart smile when I see my son playing. Since our vacation, his vocabulary has erupted like a volcano. As he plays I hear him talking, whispering, even sometimes yelling at Mike and Galahad (Mike is the Knight – Galahad is the horse).
All of a sudden, at 2 and a half, pretend play is kicking in. “Night time” he says and puts Mike in his bed upstairs in the castle and Galahad beneath in his bed. “Wake up!” he calls seconds later and has Mike flip the bed up and slide down to the horse.
Perhaps because our vacation was so physical (lots of walking, running, hiking and swimming) I so appreciate the fact that my son can sit still at a toy (even if it’s just minutes at a time). He’s going to pre-school next week (sigh) and I have hope that toys like this Fisher-Price Mike The Knight set help him focus, explore, and imagine.
Kids moving is a great thing. Sitting still is good too. 😉

This looks like alot of fun! I know that one of my grandchildren would love it! Thanks
well something for the holiday list then perhaps?…
My little guys love Mike the Knight and I am sure would enjoy playing with this!
All I could hear in my head was “hazaa!” (as Mike likes to say) while my son played with this set.
