Sears Canada The Baby’s Room

October 17, 2012 10 Comments

Breaking News: I actually went, in person, into a brick and mortar store! (those of you who know how much I hate in-store shopping will appreciate this).  Not just any store…but my newest partner…in my baby mama life (I’m looking at you Sears Canada!).

As a Sears Canada The Baby’s Room Ambassador, I will be sharing my real (yes, you will be reading this next word right) in-store experience. (Yes, she who on-line shops while baby naps because she hates shopping with baby…will be going in-store to Sears on a regular basis…truly, this is somewhat scary to me).

I lucked into a baby care this week, and did a mini reconnaissance mission to The Baby’s Room to see if this was really a place I wanted to trek to with my busy toddler.

My “…you had me at…” moment was seeing the nursing room and bathrooms right in The Baby’s Room sections! (if you were ever a nursing Mom or with a child who just couldn’t hold it one more second…you will appreciate the strategic location of these two rooms to your shopping area).

Deal alert: amazing deals to be had at the “Everything Baby” sales event, which runs from now to October 25th!

As a display-inspired-shopper, I really liked how they displayed toys, gifts and gear so that you could get a real sense of how it would work with a baby.  Images on a box are great but they aren’t the same as actually seeing the carrier or pushing the stroller or rocking the activity centre.

And yes, I admit I did not come home empty-handed…

Disclosure:  I never, ever, iron. Little boy suits and collared, button down, shirts are adorable…but just don’t work with my no-iron policy.

Guess what my baby will be wearing for the holidays (and the next birthday party and probably dinner at Grandma’s…)? This $13.97, two piece, no-iron dream.

What do you think…did I buy well?

Disclosure: I am part of the Sears – The Baby’s Room Ambassador program with Mom Central Canada and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

Fun! The first thing I wanted to know about our local store’s reno was whether they’d redone the bathroom/nursing area in that space as it was totally skanky before. :o)

Isn’t it funny – how once you have kids – skanky bathrooms and nursing rooms go to a different level in your life?

ha ha I love in-store shopping, but with 4 wee ones, I do most on-line! Great post, thanks for sharing Sears The Baby’s Room with us!

I kinda like that you can shop on the sears.ca website and have it delivered. That’s how I bought winter boots last year. (hate boot shopping with kids)

I was sad that my tuxedo shirt, which is posted in the picture, had an 18 month sticker on it but the label was actually 12 months. Had to take it back. And they had no bigger sizes than 12 months. Oh well – came home with a full suit which will serve for birthdays and holidays.
