Plunge! Aquatic Centre, Blue Mountain

Plunge! Aquatic Centre, Blue MountainTHE WHAT:  Plunge! Aquatic Centre, Blue Mountain

THE WHERE: located beside The Westin Trillium House in the Blue Mountain Village

THE FUN: Plunge! offers the fun of an inside and outside water park experience. Plunge! is a public facility and you do not need to be a guest of a hotel in order to visit.

Nice splash area for younger kids, indoor-outdoor pool, rope swing, small slides and hot tub. Stroller friendly and in addition to the regular change rooms Plunge! has a family change room.

Lockers available but you have to bring your own lock.  Strollers and belongings can be brought onto deck.  Towels provided.

I appreciated that lifejackets (PDF’s) were available for use in an array of sizes. Lifeguards were attentive and friendly (special thank you to the lifeguard who quickly patched up my daughter’s skinned knees).

What do kids like better on a vacation than swimming?! Plunge! gets this and offers water-a-pa-looza for kids of all ages. Sun lovers will adore the outdoor pool whereas shade-seekers will enjoy the inside pool.

No restaurant on site but there are vending machines and “In and Out” privileges so you can grab lunch in the village (steps away) or take kids back to the hotel for a nap if needed.

You could certainly spend a good afternoon swimming and having fun at Plunge!

Disclosure: I had the opportunity to swim at Plunge! Actually, I didn’t swim per say…I bounced a smiling baby in the water while my kids happily swam around me. The opinions in this post are my own.

An outdoor waterslide that you can ride year-round?! How cool is that! Looks like a great alternative to our Niagara destinations.
