Crock A Doodle, Blue Mountain

June 27, 2012 3 Comments

THE WCrock A Doodle, Blue MountainHAT:  Crock A Doodle

THE HOW:  Paint your own ceramics (drop-in or book a party – it takes 24 hours to bake so this is a “do today – pick up tomorrow” activity)

THE CROCK A DOODLE: Serious fun.  Crock A Doodle offers families a creative activity without the use of batteries or screens.  With a wide array of ceramics to paint (from plates to coffee mugs to cupcake treasure boxes to piggy banks) there is a little something for everyone.  Price point is very reasonable (meaning: yes, all three kids can choose something to paint without making me blow the vacation budget in one go).

The staff at the Blue Mountain location was helpful, welcoming and very kid friendly.

Walking into a ceramic shop with a baby can be daunting (think: bull in a china shop) but the Crock A Doodle lady encouraged us to keep baby busy by having him paint a mug as best he could and then put his hand print on it as a souvenir of his babyhood.  What a great idea!

Located in the Blue Mountain Village, Crock A Doodle is in front of parking, next to restaurants and shops making it a great location for a family stop.

You don’t normally think “paint ceramics” when you think family vacation…but you know what…it’s a must-do, all-ages, family activity.

Disclosure: I had the opportunity to experience Crock A Doodle hands-on. And it was serious fun. The opinions in this post are my own.

I went here with my daughter recently, she’s been wanting to go back ever since. Plan is to go this weekend 🙂 Great spot to keep her busy!
