March 26, 2009

Heading off to Great Wolf Lodge next week.

Don’t know what to expect.
Have you been? Do you have tips on what to pack? Where to eat? What you likey and what you don’t?

Would love to hear tips/stories/experiences!

Read the Woes of March Break to see where we first met the Great Wolf

You are sure to have a great time!If you can I would call ahead and try to book your room on the waterpark level, sooo much easier than having to take the elevator each time you want to go to the waterpark and back!We have had a blast the past two times we have gone and plan to go again this year! The craft room is a great way to pass some time if you are all tired out from the water park but this kids are still raring to go! And they do have smocks so if your kids are painting and you think…hey an apron/smock would be a good idea just ask if you can see any around, I think they keep them in the cupboard above the sink. The biggest issue last time we were there was that two of the water slides were closed (not sure what they are called but they are the ones that are attached to the structure with the big bucket on it) the two our kids had the best time on the year before and were the most appropriate in size for them to do on their own.Of course you will need something to keep you comfy on your walk to and from the waterpark, crocs and a house coat or some kind of hoodie towel worked well for my kids, I just used a regular towel but I did bring our own since the ones there are not so big.As for eating we brought our own breakfast, there is a mini fridge and microwave in the room, and also chose to have lunch and dinner either made ourselves in the room (sandwiches and alphaghetti or ordered in swish chalet or pizza) but I think this year the kids might be old enough to try and sit in the restaurant, I heard it was a buffet and the food is apparently not bad.We have not yet managed to keep the kids awake for the story time by the big tree so if you manage to make it please let us know how it is!Have a great time!!!
