Isn’t everyday Mother’s Day to a Mother? (and thank you for wetting the bed last night because I really did want to do one more load of laundry today sweetheart).
Perhaps, Mother’s Day should be one day when you don’t have to mother. Forget the flowers. Let Mom get out of bed when she wants to…not when the alarm goes off, or when the baby cries, or when little tummies want Krispies.
Mother’s Day should be the one day when Mom doesn’t have to shop for the food, cook the food, serve the food and put away the leftover food.
Mother’s Day should be the one day when Mom doesn’t wipe bums.
Mother’s Day should be the one day when Mom can walk out the door without carrying the diaper bag.
Mother’s Day should be the one day when children don’t touch each other, children don’t shriek at each other — really children should be in separate houses for the whole entire day.
Mother’s Day should be the one day when Mom sits down and writes a letter to her babies. This year I loved you, this year you drove me crazy, this year you did this and said that, this year I found or let go of…(insert your emotional baggage here).
End of rant — there is that load of laundry to do. Coming tomorrow; actual activities you can do with your children for Mother’s Day.
Yesterday we went out for dinner with my MIL to celebrate her birthday, she asked what, if any plans we had for mothers day…she is concerned that she will be alone and does not want to be…I told her I was jealous…maybe I should have her and hubby take the kids out for the day!!!
children should be in separate houses for th whole entire day.. I like it…you’re too funny
Thanks for the comments!
