Attended the fantabulous ice show; Disney Princess Classic on Ice at the Rogers Centre over the weekend. As you’ve come to expect with anything “Disney” it was entertaining and fun. Here are some tips we learnt from this experience.
- 1. Dealing with waiting for the ticket guy — when you can hear that the show has already started. We overheard a parent say “don’t worry there still lots to see in the show.” What a good idea…rather than harp on what you have missed tell your child there is still so much more to see.
2. Take your own snacks. Unless pizza and popcorn are really part of the outing treat…pack a favourite snack. That way you won’t have to line up or miss out on the show.
3. Take your own souvenirs. At the Disney show a colouring book magazine was $25, a plastic character cup filled with sno cone type of snack was $10. That’s a lot of money for something that will end up at the bottom of the toy box. We went to the dollar store last week, purchased glow necklaces (6 to a package) that could be turned into necklaces, bracelets or magic wands. In most shows, where there will be darkness (the Garden Bros. Circus & Disney shows – both stage and ice – for example) sell toys that glow.
We recommend Disney shows. Great fun!
