Kid Olympics using things you already have, DIY Olympics at Home for Kids

DIY Olympics at Home for Kids

What I like about the Olympics: the idea of fair play. Doing your best. Being active. We cheer for the victors…but those who fall or miss, boy do we ever learn about grace with those competitors. And I think the world needs more grace. Knowing how to compete to win…but also how to overcome challenges…get back up…try again…lose with dignity. Not everyone needs a medal to be an Olympian. You are one because it’s in your spirit.

Now on to those DIY Olympic ideas! Weather can influence whether we DIY Winter or Summer Olympics for kids (here it Toronto snowstorms happen). So let’s brainstorm Olympic activities you can do year-round inside and outside your home.

I think these are such fun ideas. My kids are both athletic, so they would love having their own winter games at home.

I always did a lot of these things with bounty rolls and rolled up sock basketball when I was young with my sisters. These events sound like a lot of fun for kids and get you into the Olympic spirit.
