Homemade Mason Jar Ice Cream (3 Hours)

Ingredients
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream (or whipping cream)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
(Optional add-ins: chocolate chips, crushed cookies, fruit pieces, caramel, or sprinkles)
Instructions
- Fill the Jar
- Add the heavy cream, sugar, vanilla, and salt into a clean quart-sized mason jar.
- If adding flavorings (like cocoa powder or fruit puree), mix them in now.
- Shake It Up
- Screw the lid on tightly.
- Shake the jar vigorously for 4–5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly and coats the sides of the jar.
- Freeze
- Place the jar in the freezer.
- Freeze for 3 hours, giving it a quick shake once halfway through if you can.
- Serve
- Remove from freezer, let sit for 5 minutes at room temperature.
- Scoop into bowls, or eat straight from the jar!
Tip: For chocolate ice cream, add 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder before shaking.
Mix-ins: Stir in crushed cookies, berries, or chocolate chips after shaking but before freezing.
