Hamilton Beach Ice Cream Maker Review

April 28, 2025 1 Comment

Spring and summer is prime ice cream time! Ready to make some at home? Read on for my Hamilton Beach Ice Cream Maker Review:

#Sponsored post: all opinions are my own

About the 1½ Quart Ice Cream Maker from Hamilton Beach

With the Hamilton Beach® 1.5 Quart Ice Cream Maker, you’ll easily create homemade ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, sherbet and gelato right in your own kitchen in as little as 20 minutes. No rock salt or hand churning needed.

Hamilton Beach products are my usual go-tos in the kitchen (LOVE their blender and pressure cooker – both are used weekly).

My Hamilton Beach Ice Cream Maker Review

Tool: Hamilton Beach ice cream maker (I froze the bowl overnight and then assembled the chilled ingredients, put frozen bowl on machine, and poured ingredients on while it was running. 20 minutes to soft ice cream 40 for a harder ice cream).

First, we tried a tiktok recipe my daughter had seen (taking a protien shake and putting it directly into an ice cream machine to make protein ice cream – it was a fail). Then, we followed the Hamilton Beach recipe for easy vanilla ice cream (came with the manual) and it was a success.

Here are my homemade ice cream tips:

? use a recipe (easy ones come in the Hamilton beach manual)
? follow the directions

The next “homemade” request is to make raspberry sherbert (for the no-lactose people at my house).

You can find the ice cream maker where you buy kitchen tools.

Making homemade ice cream can be a great activity to get kids in the kitchen:

  • Reading a recipe develops literacy skills
  • Shopping for ingredients is a field trip
  • Measuring ingredients builds math skills
  • Pouring is plain fun
  • Watching the machine churn is exciting (a little noisy)
  • Only having to wait 20 minutes for homemade ice cream is a plus!
