Simba® Hybrid Duvet Review
Buying a duvet is a one-and-done purchase for many people (or at least one-that-should-last-a-while). It’s worth investing in a quality duvet which will provide all-season comfort. The price point for the Simba duvet (Queen size – pictured above) is $299 (Canadian).
When to buy a duvet
- Kids outgrowing their space (i.e. crib to twin, twin to double, double to queen)
- Moving into a new home (housewarming gift!)
- Student moving to college or university
- Menopausal women (heat flashes!)
- Seniors feeling the chill (layer up)
Some people have a next-level tempreture when they sleep. A furnace. I’m talking about the furnace people who regulate so much heat it’s tropical. Furance people need cooling duvets.
The active tempreture regulation technology of the Simba Hybrid Duvet is the major checkmark for this review. Thank you to the engirneer who decided that there should be a duvet on the market which absorbs, stores, and releases heat. Well done.
Basically, there’s a warm side and a cooling side to this duvet…more on that below.
The engineering…
- Stratos™ technology – space-inspired active temperature regulation for cooler, calmer more enriching sleep
- Invista™ cool nights system – hypoallergenic, mineral-enriched fibres dissipate heat
- Breathable cotton cover – creating a softer feel
- Vegan friendly – containing no animal products
The duvet cools down when you feel hot and warms up when you feel cold. How does it know? The Stratos™ technology absorbs and releases heat as you sleep. Tip: the blue-piping-side of the duvet is the cool one.
The queen size duvet is standard North American queen size. Good-to-know: the duvet is covered with breathable cotton which is free from chemical and animal products.
Does it wash well?
Yes. The duvet is machine washable with a hypoallergenic cotton cover. Also, there are corner loops on the duvet which keep it from moving around inside your duvet cover.
