Hey, watching a movie on a tablet or portable dvd player in the car certainly can easily kill a couple of hours. But screens aren’t always the best option. I’m talking to you…motion sickness kids. And those who have low batteries.

- Alphabet game (we play this all the time…Pick a category…let’s say food…and each person takes a turn saying a food which begins with that letter. A = apple, B = beans, C = carrots and so on. We do it with cities, countries and capitals.
- I Spy. You know the rhyme…I spy with my little eye something that is *insert colour here*. And everyone needs to figure out what you are spying.
- License plate search and find. Extra points if you find a stand-out plate (like one from really far away!).
- Word scramble. Great for older kids — unscramble mixed up words.
- Mazes. Escaping a maze page is very satisfying.
- Sing-a-long. Break out the Disney Karoke and Let It Go.
- Word search. You can create your own using words about your trip (France, Car, Plane, Beach, Sand, Water).
