Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Control Slow Cooker Giveaway

September 25, 2018 502 Comments

This Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Control Slow Cooker Giveaway is going to make life easier for one lucky Parent Club reader. Fall and winter is the perfect time for using a slow cooker. From the comfort food it creates to the dump and set ease of setting it up and letting the slow cooker do the work. Hearty, healthy, family meals are on the forecast. Read below on how to enter this giveaway AND a pulled pork recipe I am cooking in Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Control Slow Cooker today!

Disclosure: this giveaway is open to residents of Canada, void in Quebec. This post is in partnership with Hamilton Beach. Opinions are my own.

About the Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Control Slow Cooker

The Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Control Slow Cooker measures and displays current and desired food temperatures to ensure food safety and minimize overcooked recipes. This versatile appliance is perfect for meal prepping. Its Stay or Go clips are designed to prevent spills and for easy travel.

Unboxing was easy. You get the unit, the dish, the cover, and the temperature probe (and instruction booklet).

At first, I thought the temperature probe would be daunting. It isn’t. Knowing your food is cooked to the safe temperature is smart. No more guessing if the chicken is pink or the pork is under-cooked. No more approximating “I guess this will take 8 hours“. Now you can set your dinner up for success…knowing what goes on the table will be delicious (and food safe!).

The unit is attractive. Like keep it on your counter all the time attractive. And the lid locks so you can easily transport it. Think: pot lucks, dinner crawls, holiday parties.  I’m already browsing pinterest for chicken soup slow cooker recipes. Oh and mulled cinnamon cider for snowy days.

RELATED: Slow Cooker Recipes

I don’t know about you…but I love using a slow cooker. From spaghetti sauces to roasting whole chickens. Using a slow cooker means that the crazy hours after school (when I’m getting snacks for hungry kids and trying to coach them to do homework) is a little less crazy because I don’t have to add in fixing dinner.

And did you know you can prep slow cooker recipe ingredients – freeze them in a air tight container – and then just dump the ingredients into the slow cooker the night before (because you will want meats to defrost) – set the next day- and go. You could pre-prep multiple slow cooker meals – freeze them – and take them out on the days you need them. Talk about a meal plan!

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Recipe

  • 1 pork shoulder
  • 1/2 bottle of bbq sauce
  • 1/4 water
  1.  Pour water into bottom of Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Slow Cooker
  2. Lay pork shoulder on bottom of dish
  3. Pour bbq sauce over top
  4. Set Hamilton Beach Advanced Temperature Slow Cooker to Medium. Set temperature to 190. Add 8 hours of cooking time. Cover dish with lid. Add temperature probe.
  5. DONE.

It literally took less than 10 minutes to put the ingredients in and set the slow cooker.

I would make my Pork roast with lots of veggies and red potatoes and make pork gravy from the juice after to put on top of the meat and potatoes. This cooker would be wonderful to have to regulate the temperature. Perfect!! and it would go with my other Hamilton Beach kitchen appliances…make my kitchen complete!!!
