Back-To-School With Sport Chek

Check sizes. Just this week I was getting out last year’s school indoor shoes to see if they still fit (nope). Also, with September coming — weather switches from hot summer to cool Autumn fairly quickly — so it’s good to check sizes of pants and hoodies right now too. When you check sizes you go into store knowing what you need. My kids always need multiple shoes (running and street) as well as next-size-up clothing – and I know that I can get it all in budget range with top brands at Sport Chek. Backpacks matter. It has been my experience that backpacks are not one size fits all. Look at backpacks and measure up size to child. Can they carry it comfortably? It is big enough for text books? Is there protected side pockets for wallets and phones (for the older kids)? Backpacks are an item a child/teen carries everyday and it is worth the investment.

Back to Campus. Or starting campus (my daughter is starting). From hoodies to joggers (and yes, we can even start thinking about Fall jackets) it’s an easy choice at Sport Chek.

And that hockey equipment. OK I’m not a hockey Mom (I’m a karate Mom and soccer Mom). But my newsfeed is of my friends pulling out those hockey pads, socks, et al. It must be hockey season. Are you ready for it?

Grown up activities. Hands up if you have been WAITING for the kids to get back-to-school so that you can get back-to-your-own-activities? I have been putting my yoga classes to the backseat (because they happen right when I’m on full-time Mom duty during the day). I am ready to get my yoga gear on and take care of me. And you should take care of you too! Whether it be hockey or the gym or yoga or whatever…take this time to get the gear you need to have a physical and healthy life.
