Choosing Women’s Sandals

May 25, 2017

Choosing Women’s Sandals – are you thinking sandal season yet? Gladiator? Strappy sandals? Flats? Sandals are Mom’s best footwear accessory – so put your best foot forward – and step out to the store to check out the latest in women’s sandals…Choosing Women's Sandals via www.parentclub.ca

Choosing Women’s Sandals

Not sponsored…but if you’ve fallen in love with a pair of women’s sandals above here are the deets on where to buy…

American Eagle Outfitters strap sandals, 41 CAD / Metallic sandals, 26 CAD / Gap open toe sandals, 33 CAD / JustFab strap sandals, 55 CAD / MANGO strap sandals, 63 CAD / Billabong lace up shoes, 61 CAD

Keep in mind when choosing footwear…

Office or playground? Decide where and why you will be wearing your summer footwear. Park sandals need to stand up to sand, potentially water (splash pads beware), and heavy standing. Office footwear needs to be business casual yet professional.

Between the toes? So I shudder at the thought of anything between my toes (seriously…I shudder). Automatically, though I appreciate the style of sandals that go between toes, “tong” footwear is out for me. However, luckily there are so many gladiator and open toe choices.

Maybe give up black for a month. *goes over mental list…yes, every pair of shoes in closet is black* OK perhaps let’s NOT go for a black sandal. Summer is lighter. Hotter. Perhaps it’s the season telling you to go lighter and hotter with your colour choice. A light pink? Rose gold? Sand or beige? Think: neutral. Fun. Summer.

Comfort is key. Straps that dig in. Blisters on your ankles. Sore feat because they are just to darn rigid. Comfort is key with any sandal…so choose well. Otherwise, you’re cute sandals turn into car-to-table shoes (you wear them from the car to the restaurant table and don’t walk anywhere else because the sandals are too darn cute and your feet hurt too darn much).

Comfort is key for me but I really like a cute sandal too. I want both!
