Are you in a Back-To-School Supply List state of mind? I confess: I love supplies. From filling my on-line shopping cart with reusable bottles to walking into a store and getting binders…school supplies make me happy. Maybe because they bring a hope of organization. Maybe because they are new. Maybe because school supplies mean my kids are going back to school soon *happy dance*. Here are a few ideas for your back-to-school supply list…
Back-To-School Supply List
I like to start our back-to-school shopping with taking an inventory of what we’ve got. I sorted through our litterless lunch containers and trashed the too-used and where’s-the-top-to-this-? items. I also had the kids go through their binders and school supplies and had them throw out last year’s used work (you should have seen the recycle box!).

Next, I go to the places I know best for school supplies. Here are my shameless recommendations: Mable’s Labels to label lunch containers, shoes, and more. PARENT CLUB TIP: I put our surname (FERNANDEZ) as our labels – that way all the kids can use the labels — plus there are no fights over general use items like lunch containers and pencil cases.
Snacks are probably my number 2 snack supply item. Seriously. I take my teen grocery shopping and have her pick out non-perishable yet healthy snacks she can keep in her locker. Granola bites like Made Good, protein bars, dried fruit, crackers — all snacks the on-the-go-teen needs to power her day.
Then, comes the stationery supplies…
My tween, like me, could spend forever in Staples. However, taking my 5 year old with us is good inspiration for us to stay on track with our back-to-school supply list. Binders, paper, notebooks (don’t you love that one pictured above?! – the cover is an adult colouring book while the inside pages are lined paper), pens, and post-its are evergreen school supplies chez moi.
