Puddle Jumping with Kamik Rain Boots

June 6, 2016 13 Comments

Puddle Jumping with Kamik Rain Boots! One of my favourite memories from childhood was going outside with my best friend and jumping in puddles (whether the rain had stopped or not).

Do you let your kids’ jump in puddles? My honest answer on that is…depends. If my son is in his runners…it’s a please don’t. If he’s in rain boots…it’s a go ahead.

How’s that picture for a family portrait?! I kinda love that photo.

Now, on the subject of rain boots…do you think my teenagers wear them? Answer: no.

Which is why I was beyond surprised when my 15 year old called dibs on those Jennifer Kamik rain boots. Dibs from a teen who hasn’t worn rain boots since elementary school?!  Impressive.

5 ways for Puddle Jumping with Kamik Rain Boots…

  1. Try a triple jump
  2. Jump hard
  3. Jump softly
  4. Jump at the same time
  5. Jump, stomp, jump

Kamik, is a Canadian footwear company that designs comfortable, stylish and durable boots for the whole family. Not only are they made in Montreal, but the company is big on sustainability which is why their rain boots are made with 100% recyclable material. Their complete line of outdoor footwear keeps you safe, dry, and comfortable year round – from summer rainstorms to winter blizzards. So no matter the conditions, you can always enjoy the outdoors.

And rain boots aren’t just for rainy days. Wear them on a field trip to a farm (you’ll want to keep this gem of a tip in mind when you go apple picking and pumpkin picking in the Fall). Wear them when you’ll be walking near a creek (be careful not to slip in). Wear them when you garden. Wear them when you are late-and-in-a-rush-so-throw-them-on-to-make-it-to-school-pick-up (reallynotreally).

I bet my 12-yr old would actually wear these, too! She is also in that category of thinking rain boots are “babyish”. But with these styles that are more grown-up, I know I could get her back in a pair!

There is nothing better after a rain fall except to jump in the puddles with the grandkids

The floral rain boots are very different, I like all the new styles they have now for rain boots, instead of the blah black pair or green, at least you can be styling now while puddle jumping!!

These boots are so unique and beautiful. It’s about time we get something better than plain black

Puddle jumping used to be my favourite thing to do when I was a child, especially during the first spring rain… The boys and I used to do this all the time when they were little. Love the boots!
