Summer is a time for new routines. I gave my 2nd daughter (she’s 12) the opportunity to review the Philips Sonicare For Kids because I thought – for her – this is the perfect time to get into new brushing routines. You see…this child just got her braces off…and I want to ensure she learns how to protect those beautiful teeth (which cost about the price of a used car!).
I also let her do all the photography for this post. It’s a summer boredom buster and review in one!
My daughter’s Philips Sonicare For Kids Review…
The toothbrush pretty big, and if i was 6 yrs and i used this i would think it’s too big. For young children, my opinion is that it’s too technical. While you brush your teeth after maybe 50 seconds or so, it starts beeping and I’m not sure why. It does vibrate, you can make it vibrate a lot or a little, which I think is too technical for young children. Otherwise, it works well and I have not had any difficulties with it.
So my initial takeaways from reading her Philips Sonicare For Kids review…
A) I need to talk to her about capitalizing “I” when she is typing
B) simply giving a 12 year old a rechargeable power toothbrush doesn’t mean they read the directions (go back and read her “….it starts beeping and I’m not sure why. ” statement above)
C) My 12 year old underestimates what might be too technical for young kids
Here’s what she needs to know about the Philips Sonicare For Kids Power Toothbrush…
Philips Sonicare For Kids is an electric power toothbrush for kids aged 4 and older. It offers maximum plaque removal, sonic technology, customizable stickers and educational tools to help make proper brushing fun for a lifetime.
To help kids ease into a proper routine, this electric toothbrush slowly increases the brushing time over 90 days until reaching the dentist-recommended 2 minutes to help instill healthy habits naturally.
With two kid-friendly power modes, this power toothbrush provides proper cleaning for different ages; a low mode for younger children and high mode for older kids.
Stay tuned for a follow-up post (and more of her photography) to see if she A) learns capitalization B) figures out the beeping and C) eases up on the young users. 🙂
