Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

As Mother’s Day approaches (May 10th for anyone in my family reading this – nudge nudge!) Mother’s Day gift guides and Mother’s Day Gift Ideas are pretty timely. Now, I confess…I appreciate the kid-made-at-school Mother’s Day artwork (I really do!). However, I have a few ideas of buy-able gifts for Mom which might help you with some Mother’s Day Gift Ideas inspiration…

Aside: every Spring I get an itch to treat myself to something new. I don’t indulge my inner “me-shopper” very often (Moms never do right?!) but around Mother’s Day – I feel pretty justified in a little treat to celebrate my Mom-ness.

Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

1. Jewelry represents a memory. I started a tradition every time we go on vacation I treat myself to a necklace. Could be from a street market. Or a tourist shop. Or even an artisan. But I figure – I will wear the piece and will remember a life event. I like the hand stamped pendants at Citrus Silver Jewelry (Canadian! Shop local) for something unique.
2. Beauty better. All Moms are rushed for time so something which will make the beauty routine easier is a gift. My hairdryer recently blew out it’s engine (the pun is not lost on me). I have been using the Infiniti PRO by Conair 3Q Styling Tool and it’s faster and better than my old hairdryer. Bonus, it’s super light weight.
3. For the Foodie Mom – kitchen gear. A brie baker (I had one and I gave it away – have regretted it ever since), fancy cake pan or Cuisinart Multi-Prep Bowl are not just gear but tools in which a foodie Mom can find her bliss in the kitchen.
4. I don’t work out but if I did…sport gear for Mom is a way to show you support her getting active. The Adidas running belt pictured above is super functional (and I would totally even wear it to the playground to keep my keys and phone on me instead of having to haul my bag).
5. Mother’s Day gifts don’t have to cost a lot. Flowers, chocolates, wine, or the Flare Beauty Box (Just $9!)
6. Pamper Mom. Moms take care of everyone else so a nice Mother’s Day gift is something which pampers Mom. Think: body lotion, massage gift certificate, or as simple as the Be Delectable Decadent Hair & Body Mist Kit (Canadian! Shop local)
