Circulon Review

September 11, 2014 2 Comments

I long ago realized it doesn’t matter how many pots & pans you have…quality cookware is much more important than quantity. Thus, when given the opportunity to do this Circulon Review I had to say yes (and they totally had me at “Circulon’s Total non-stick system“)….

Circulon Review

About Circulon

Designed to be a kitchen essential, the new Circulon® Prime range combines quality and versatility to bring a refreshing new choice of cookware that delivers a superior cooking experience. This is made possible by Circulon’s Total non-stick system, a patented hi-low circular groove technology that enhances non-stick durability. The system promotes a healthy lifestyle by delivering high performance food release without the need to cook with oils and fats. Further, each pan is induction cooktop suitable, oven and dishwasher safe, and comes with a lifetime guarantee. Circulon is available at Canadian Tire.

So it has the quality…but does it fit your family?…

Circulon Review

YES!

I test drove the Circulon 6 qt (5.7 L) Straining Stockpot along with the Circulon covered skillet – to test it on our busiest of nights – a weeknight, after-school, the-kids-are-starving dinner (Circulon had a big challenge). The first portion of our challenge was easy: it was safe to use on my induction range. It heated up quickly and evenly. And I kinda loved that I could look through the glass covers to see the cooking process at work.

And the weight to the cookware was solid. Not too light – not too heavy. Solid enough that you know it is durable and long lasting.

The straining stockpot has a lock (tricky at first but I soon got the hang of locking). And it strained pasta water beautifully! No leakage or mess. I will not that the stockpot handles do get warm (you will want to wear gloves while you strain).

In the skillet, I melted butter and sautéed frozen spinach (a quick, easy, and healthy side). It was non-stick as Circulon promised. All tests passed with flying colours!

And while on the topic of colours…isn’t that RED cookware pretty awesome?! I would totally serve from this cookware at the table.

Furthermore, clean up using the Circulon cookware was a breeze. Wash n’ dry (a great feature for busy families like myself!). Dinner was a success…and an easy clean up meant more time with the kids and less time in the kitchen.

When I purged my pots & pans for induction-friendly cookware (when I was switching from electric to induction) – I realized I didn’t use half the pans I owned. I had 2 favourite pots and 1 pan that I used every. single. week. And from that – I purged my cookware to have only favourites – which made my organization and dinners much easier.

What makes your dinners easier?…

I love the fact that this cookware from Circulon is non-stick, makes cleaning up afterwards so much easier. I especially like that the straining stockpot has a lock making it easier to use than a normal pot and lid.

I had a set of you red Circulon non stick pots and pans. They were the nicest set I ever owned !I returned them to the store, because the lid handles and the pot handles get SO HOT that I burned myself. Is there any way you can put covered handles on your product. If you can , I will buy them again .
